Napowrimo: Tropical Wave

Tropical Wave

Late summer.
Still, stagnant,
a pond surface slick with algae.
Hot air, stale breath.
Down in the depths something stirs
from sleep.
Lethargy levitates,
collides with wind.
A vortex is spawned, wilder
than a drunken dragon.
