as we lay in a tangle

of sheets,arms,legs,

blonde hair and black

panting through the waves of our after-lust

i understood with a finality beyond reason that

lust has morphed into love

into lust into love into lust

yet again and never-ending

this is the pattern of my life with you

neither money nor honor nor

bleeding hearts can keep

me from you now

Musical Poetry

There are certain songs that transcend music and rapture into poetry. Not all music (song lyrics) are poetry but, I believe, all poetry is music. Therefore, when I post a music video on this blog it is because everything about the song is pure poetry to me. The lyrics, the arrangement, the visual, the voice and the ambiance that results. All components must be there for me personally, to post the video on my blog.
This is the first such video on ZouxZoux: “All Mine” performed by Portishead. It’s a performance videoed live and the film is a bit grainy. Perfect.
All the stars may shine bright
All the clouds may be white
But when you smile
Ohh how I feel so good
That I can hardly wait
To hold you
Enfold you
Never enough
Render your heart to me
All mine…….
You have to be
From that cloud, number nine
Danger starts the sharp incline
And such sad regrets
Ohh as those starry skies
As they swiftly fall
Make no mistake
You shan’t escape
Tethered and tied
There’s nowhere to hide from me
All mine….
You have to be
Don’t resist
We shall exist
Until the day I die
Until the day I die

All mine…….
You have to be
